Tips on how to Beat the Heat!
- Avoid going out in the sun at peak times (mid-day and afternoon).
- If you are in the sun, wear a hat (wide-brimmed if possible).
- Wear sunscreen.
- Wear loose, lightweight clothing.
- Spend some time in air-conditioned places such as a shopping mall.
- Take frequent cool showers or baths.
- Drink plenty of water. Avoid alcoholic beverages, coffee and cola.
- Cook during the coolest times of the day.
- Reschedule sport practices, exercising, etc.
