7 ways to get rid of a headache
Headaches are common and more often than not the main cause of headache remains to be stress or flu! Headaches are uncomfortable and unbearable to carry the entire day. Therefore, we have compiled a list of 10 remedies for headache especially when you need a quick relief.

Cold Ice Pack
This especially comes handy if you have migraine. Take a towel and put some ice cubes into it. Press them against your forehead. If you don’t have ice at home, a cold shower will also help you ease the pain. But, please make sure that you don’t have a cough and cold because a cold shower would end up worsening the situation.
Heat pad or hot compress
If you have a tension headache, place a heating pad on your neck or the back of your head. If you have a sinus headache, hold a warm cloth to the area that hurts. A warm shower might also do the trick.
A head massage
Massaging your head helps in easing the tension between muscles making you feel light and relaxed. If it seems like your forehead is being tightly tied with a band, your headache is a tension headache and a massage can really soothe the pain.
Dim the light
At times flickering of light can trigger severe pain too. This is especially true in the case of migraine. Always dim the light when a headache begins. Needless to say, you must also stay away from the computer lights as they can only worsen the pain.
A lot of us do have this habit of chewing gums, avoid this at any cost. Chewing gum can hurt not just your jaw, but your head as well. The same is true for chewing your fingernails, lips, the inside or your cheeks, or handy objects like pens. Avoid crunchy and sticky foods, and make sure you take small bites.
Caffeine to the rescue
Coffee always helps in making sure that your headache is under control. Drink a couple of coffees to sooth the pain but don’t overdo it because too much caffeine is also harmful to your health. If you get it early enough, it could ease your headache pain. So take those heavenly sips but remember! Not too much!
